How CampBrightly handles your information

Updated October 23, 2026 · CampBrightly, Inc.

Information you provide

Sign-in supplies your account identifier and email. When you use family planning, we store the child first name or nickname, age, grade and preferences you provide. Family counselor profiles also store the interests, growth goals, future ideas and notes you choose to provide. These guide your private planning and can be edited in your account. Camp requests include your account email, age, grade, selected program and message. Do not submit a child’s full name, birthdate, medical information or payment details in messages.

Who can see it

Private plans belong to your account. Camp requests are available to CampBrightly administrators and verified representatives of the selected organizer so they can handle your enquiry. Support messages are available to your account and CampBrightly administrators. These records are not published as public profiles.

Storage and service operation

The service supports ChatGPT sign-in and, when configured, email magic-link sign-in. Email sign-in uses a secure, HTTP-only session cookie. The site uses Sites hosting with a Cloudflare database. A search draft is stored in your browser tab. We record anonymous service events to understand where visits progress from conversation to matches, profile saves and requests. New events contain a random visit ID, the event name, Talk/Type/Form mode, mobile or desktop device type and an optional A/B group. They do not contain names, emails, child details, search text, precise locations, dates, account IDs, URLs or referrers. A separate secure cookie expires after 30 minutes of inactivity; a local visited-before flag identifies returning visits without a persistent visitor ID. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable this collection. When configured, Cloudflare Web Analytics measures public page views; its beacon is excluded from private pages and query-bearing searches. Official source links and maps may open third-party services with their own privacy practices.

Talking with Brightly

You can speak or type without signing in. Family fields stay in this browser tab. When the AI text conversation is enabled, a secure session cookie links your anonymous server draft; after sign-in, the draft can be attached to your account. We retain structured family preferences, a short summary and the latest Brightly question, rather than the full conversation. When you record a voice answer, the recording is sent through our server to ElevenLabs for transcription. CampBrightly does not save the recording. In Talk mode, a pause can submit your spoken answer automatically. The transcript appears in your conversation; you can correct details by typing or using the form. A first name or nickname is enough. Leave out medical or other sensitive details.

AI text conversation

When enabled, the current message and your structured planning preferences are sent through our server to OpenAI to interpret your answers. We request that responses are not stored as provider conversation history. CampBrightly does not save a full message transcript. Short-lived messages remain on the current page; the browser draft saves fields rather than chat history. If special needs are mentioned, the saved preference is only “discuss with camp.” Please leave out medical details. Programs, prices and published dates shown as matches come from the CampBrightly catalog.

Optional Brightly audio

Greetings and guided questions use pre-generated ElevenLabs audio. Audio starts only after you choose to play or enter Talk mode. In Talk mode, our server sends Brightly’s reply text to ElevenLabs to create audio; this can include a first name when Brightly asks about a child. Type mode does not generate spoken replies. Recommendation summaries do not include child names, ages, private notes or goals. Generated replies remain in your current browser page for replay; CampBrightly does not store the reply audio. Your mute preference and Hide Bella & Aaron preference are stored on this device. Your chosen conversation mode and family draft are remembered in this browser tab.

Messages and payments

Replies appear inside your account. When email delivery is configured, Resend sends sign-in links, saved-profile camp suggestions and request updates. CampBrightly administrators receive a copy of each new request to help follow up; verified organizers receive an inbox link. Email delivery requires a verified sender. Payment development uses Stripe test mode; real payments are not enabled.

Your requests

You can remove saved programs, cancel camp requests and use “Delete my family profile” in your account. Deletion removes family preferences and child profiles; references required for existing booking records are anonymized. Submitted requests, transaction records and required audit records are retained. To request access, correction or deletion of other account information, use Contact CampBrightly and select Account or data request. These requests are reviewed manually; deleting an item from a plan does not automatically delete booking enquiry or audit records.
